Accessibility

We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our e-commerce service and to provide accessible support when purchasing or obtaining information about our services. If you feel that your experience using our service does not meet your accessibility needs, please contact us! For accessibility-related matters, email us at info@tsc.lv or call +371 67808808.

1. Accessibility Status

To assess the accessibility of our website, our team has conducted a self-assessment of the user experience, checking compliance with legally established accessibility requirements. This self-assessment is based on the European Parliament and Council Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act), the Goods and Services Accessibility Law, and Cabinet Regulation No. 128.

The standard requirements for websites are aligned with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines” (WCAG) version 2.1. Therefore, in our self-assessment and when informing users about accessibility, we use WCAG references.

This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level A and AA, meaning that users are able to:

  • Change colors, contrast levels, and fonts using browser plugins or device settings.
  • Zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen.
  • Navigate most of the website using a keyboard.
  • Listen to most of the website’s content using a screen reader.

2. Partially Accessible Content

Some parts of the site are currently only partially compliant with accessibility requirements. We are actively working to fix these issues. Below is a list of the website features we are currently improving:

  • Some visual elements lack descriptive “alt” text (WCAG 1.1.1).
  • Some fields do not support autocomplete (WCAG 1.3.5).
  • Insufficient contrast between some elements (WCAG 1.4.11 and 1.4.3).
  • Text elements are sometimes displayed as images that are unreadable by assistive technology (WCAG 1.4.5).
  • Some elements are not accessible via the “Tab” key (WCAG 2.1.1).
  • The same link text is used for different destinations (WCAG 2.4.4).
  • Certain elements lack proper labels for assistive technologies (WCAG 2.5.3).
  • Error messages in some places differ from the selected language (WCAG 3.1.2).
  • Form error messages may not clearly identify the issue (WCAG 3.3.1).
  • Guidance for correcting form errors may be unclear (WCAG 3.3.3).
  • Status messages are not programmatically readable, so assistive tech users are not alerted automatically (WCAG 4.1.3).

We are actively working to resolve these issues by June 27, 2030.
